The

Grogging

Chronicles

A sacredly absurd quantum love story
about the invisible threads that guide us
toward who we truly are.

A mysterious circus appears where it shouldn't.
Lanterns glow. Geometry hums beneath the canvas.
And somewhere inside the tent, reality begins to remember itself.

Inside the Tent

The Circus does not perform tricks.
It performs remembering.

Lantern by lantern, story by story, it pulls people back to the hum beneath the ribs —
the quiet place where reality is wider than it first appears.

BOOK ONE

The Pull of the Ley Lines

The Grogging Chronicles is a sacredly absurd love story about the invisible threads that guide us toward the lives we're meant to live.

Book One — The Pull of the Ley Lines begins when a mysterious traveling circus appears where it shouldn’t. When Leyla steps inside, she discovers a world that seems impossible—yet feels more real than the one she left behind.

Part story, part remembering, the Circus invites readers back to the quiet hum beneath the ribs—where intuition, connection, and wonder have been waiting all along.

Meet The Circus

Every circus has its performers.
Ours simply remembers.

Inside the tent, stories are not only told — they are lived.
The Circus gathers people who feel the quiet pull of something larger than themselves.

Some arrive by accident.
Some arrive by longing.

And some … have always belonged here.

Leyla
Leyla didn’t set out to find a circus. She was simply looking for air—a little more space to breathe in a world that had grown too small.
When the tent appears where it shouldn’t, she steps inside—and finds herself at the edge of something much larger.
Leyla is the heart of the story—the one through whom the world begins to open.

Orr
Orr carries the quiet gravity of someone who has walked through darker roads.
Tattooed, watchful, and impossible to ignore, he moves through the Circus like a living ley line—a presence that shifts the room around him.
Where Leyla brings openness, Orr brings depth.

And somewhere between them, something ancient begins to stir.

Floating Hat
The Floating Hat appears when it has something to say—which is often.
Narrator, jester, and witness, it offers commentary whether invited or not, tilting reality just enough to reveal what was already there.

Augie
Augie—short for Augustus Splishban—is the Circus’s resident shower elephant.
He appears at the most inconvenient—and most necessary—moments, offering observations that are both absurd and strangely wise.
In a world that takes itself very seriously, Augie reminds us that remembering is often easier when we’re laughing.

Auntie
Auntie keeps a small tent just off the Circus lanes.
Made of steam and soft laughter, she pours tea for those who arrive with questions they cannot quite name. One sip, and something begins to loosen—as if warmth itself remembers the way.

Sprite
A flicker of living mischief.
Sprite tends to the small disruptions—the moments where things slip, spark, or suddenly don’t behave as expected.
Often found near lanterns, laughter, or anything trying a little too hard to stay serious.

The Hum Beneath the Ribs

The Hum Beneath
the Ribs

Some stories entertain.

Others leave a small echo behind

The Circus belongs to the second kind.

It arrives quietly — in a moment of curiosity, a flicker of wonder, a feeling that the world might be wider than it first appears. Lantern by lantern, story by story, it reminds us of something we already know but sometimes forget:

There is a quiet hum beneath the ribs.

A place where intuition lives.
Where connection begins.
Where reality is not fixed, but listening.

If you hear it, even faintly, you already know the way in.

🐘 Augie’s Field Note #27:  “If you feel the hum, congratulations. You’re already in the tent.”
